JAMMU, Mar 5: All J&K Central Para Military Force Welfare Association (CPMFWA) held a meeting here today and demanded redressal of anomalies and discrimination meted out by the retired persons of these forces through the hands of Central Government.
They said that 12 lakhs  retired personnel and their 60 lakhs dependents are facing a miserable life due to the apathy of the Government which failed to settle their genuine demands till date and in dispensation justice to them.
The meeting demanded revision of pension for pre 2006 retires which is fixed at Rs 3500 per month. It said it was difficult to pass the days on such paltry amount in such hard days when prices have touched sky.
It also demanded ex servicemen status as there are no rules in this regard.
The other demands highlighted in the meeting included one rank one pension, widow pension, hike in Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
The meeting said that 12 CPMFs associations are only recognized organization which is working for the welfare of the retired personnel.
