UDHAMPUR, Nov 17: In a bizarre incident, a cow went berserk and killed two women, here today at Adarsh Colony in the town.
One of the deceased was identified as Nilam Gupta (50) wife of Chaman Lal of Adarsh Colony Udhampur while identity of the second dead could not be ascertained. The duo was attacked by the cow near SBI, resulting into critical injuries to them. They succumbed to their injuries at District Hospital Udhampur. .
Later Police caught hold the cow and sent it to a Cattle Pond before it could attack more people.
Meanwhile, in a road accident, a young man died and another got injured when their vehicle rolled down in deep gorge near Dronthal, Chenani, here late last night.
The vehicle, bearing registration number PB03AJ-9801, was on way from Chenani to Udhampur when it met with the accident, resulting into death of Sanjeev Kumar (30) son of Shanker Dass of Pakhlai in t Udhampur and injuries to Rahil Sharma of Tandar Chenani, who was admitted at Sub District Hospital Chenani.
