JAMMU, Apr 29: Special Judge Anti-Corruption Jammu Sanjeev Gupta has granted interim bail to Anil John, Deputy Secretary in Department of Floriculture, who was arrested by the State Vigilance Organization two days back.
According to the Vigilance case, Anil John during his posting as Project Officer of Command Area Rural Development Agency (CARDA) had made illegal appointments. Two FIRs were registered at Vigilance Organization Jammu on the prima facie establishment of offences on the part of the public servant.
After hearing Chief Prosecuting Officer for the Vigilance Organization and Advocate Aseem Sawhney for the accused public servant, the court granted interim bail to the petitioner on certain terms and conditions and furnishing a bail bond of Rs 25,000.
