Court directs reinvestigation in FIR against DC

JAMMU, Feb 1: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Puneet Gupta has directed further investigation in the FIR registered in a complaint filed against the then Deputy Commissioner Reasi PK Pole.
The FIR against Pole and Naib Tehsildar Sher Singh Thappa was registered on the directions of Vigilance Court for registration of 206 kanals and 13 marlas  land in favour of a New Delhi based businessman.
The businessman was constructing Nav Shri Jan Hotel and Resorts at Sool near Katra town, the base camp of Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. The Deputy Commissioner had directly marked documents to the Naib Tehsildar ignoring the revenue officers between them. Such a lengthy process of registration of 206 kanals and 13 marlas land in favour of New Delhi party was completed within 20 to 25 days. The Naib Tehsildar reported back to the Deputy Commissioner within 5 days.
The registration had been done on the name of Nav Shri Jan Hotel and Resorts through Sanjeev Khajuria, son of Hari Ram, a resident of Udhampur, presently putting up in New Delhi. Out of 236 kanals land at village Sool, 206 kanals land was shown as agriculture land and 30 kanals as nallah.
Police after investigation filed closure report on the ground that the allegations were not found substantiated.
After going through the closure report, Special Judge Anticorruption observed,“investigating agency has not considered certain aspects of the case”. Accordingly, the court directed reinvestigation in the matter within a period of four months.
