Court denies bail to 4 in kidnapping, rape case

JAMMU, Feb 21: Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Reasi Kamlesh Pandita today rejected the bail applications of four accused, who were allegedly involved in kidnapping and rape case.
These accused persons are Mohd Iqbal, son of Fareed Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed, son of Mohd Shafi, Mushtaq, son of Mohd Jameel and Mohd Sadam, son of Hakim Din.
After hearing CPO DP Singh appearing for the State, the CJM observed, “offences alleged to have been committed by the accused persons are very heinous and should be dealt with very firmly”, adding “the offences against the woman are on the rise day in and day out and these are considered to be not only against the individual but also against the society at large”.
“The offences committed by the accused persons are horrifying as prosecutrix has suffered scar on her reputation for no fault of her”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
