Courage, bravery fetched JKP good name: DGP

SRINAGAR, Oct 30: Director General of Police (DGP), Dilbag Singh here today visited Budgam and interacted with police officers and jawans.
The DGP also inspected stores of the district.
Addressing the officers and jawans, the DGP said that Jammu and Kashmir Police has earned a good name at national level by the dint of its courage and bravery and its contributions are being recognized internationally.  He said that the all forces have taken effective measures to maintain peace and order in the State and it is due to these measures and synergy between forces that bigger successes in fight against terrorism has been achieved in recent days.
He said the field officers particularly the range and district officers are doing a good job providing excellent leadership at different levels.
The DGP advised the Jawans and officers to take care of themselves and their families while performing duties.
He said that police leadership is much concerned about the welfare of its personnel and families of martyrs.
“Ex-gratia relief for families of martyrs has been enhanced and every possible assistance is being provided to these families under different schemes,” the DGP maintained.
Singh assured that all the genuine demands of police personnel will be addressed.
SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh gave brief about the working of the district.
IGP Kashmir S.P Pani, DIG V.K Birdhi, Additional SP Budgam, Majid Malik and other jurisdictional officers of the district were also present.
