JAMMU, Mar 17: A couple today sustained burn injuries while burning some garbage outside their residence in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Punam Jamwal (29) wife of Atul, resident of Jagti (Nagrota), was burning some household waste outside her residence when her clothes accidentally caught fire.
“As the woman cried for help, her husband Atul Singh (30) son of Sagar Singh came to her rescue and while saving her, he got minor injuries while the woman received about 15 % burns”, the spokesman said.
He said that both the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after providing first-aid they were discharged. The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
