Corporation provides Rs one lakh as loan for small unit

JAMMU, Jan 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, is making sincere efforts to reach the families of the reserved categories with a motive of providing financial assistance to the unemployed males and females from amongst them for establishing income generation units as per their capability and expertise.
This was stated by the Corporation Vice-Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, while handing over Payment Authority Letter (PAL) of loan amounting to Rs one lakh to a Scheduled Caste  unemployed youth, Jeet Lal of Sanjay Nagar, Jammu, along with Managing Director, Ravinder Kumar Pandita, Divisional Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana and Jammu District Manager, Joginder Paul Atri, here today.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that J&K SCs, STs, BCs Development Corporation gets funds from the Union Government through different Apex Corporations with each of them working exclusively for a particular community like Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Physically Disables, those from national level notified Minorities and Safai Karamcharis.  The State Government also contributes towards it. The procedure and related formalities are common for each category and the aspirants can apply through the District Office near to their place of residence in Jammu, Kashmir or Ladakh.
Managing Director, Ravinder Kumar Pandita, on this occasion, stressed upon the loanee to make proper use of the money availed by him as financial assistance and said that monthly instalment should be repaid to the Corporation regularly. He also asked Jeet Lal to motivate the unemployed people of his community to avail benefits of the welfare schemes of the Corporation and earn livelihood in a dignified way.
