Corp sanctions loan for unemployed persons

JAMMU, Mar 6: Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited has sanctioned financial assistance in the form of loan in favour of two unemployed males and two females of Anantnag and Kupwara districts.
The individual sanction letters of the loan were handed over to Kashmir Division Accountant, Babar Wani, by Corporation Vice Chairperson Balbir Ram Rattan, Managing Director, Ravinder Kumar Pandita and Manager Projects, Mohammed Iqbal Kataria, at Head Office, from whom the applicants will collect the same at Srinagar Division Office.
The Corporation had received three applications for fresh loan from Mohammed Hussain Chowhan, Shoukat Ahmed Mochi and Khalida Junaid of Anantnag district under Scheduled Tribe and Safai Karamchari categories. Similarly, Hameeda Begum of Kupwara district has been sanctioned loan under Safai Karamchari category.
After processing the cases, a total of Rs 6 lakh got sanctioned in favour of the beneficiaries to set up small units to earn livelihood and be self dependent instead of becoming burden on others.
Vice Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan asked the Kashmir Division Accountant to convey to the beneficiaries that whatever has been availed them as loan is to be paid back in monthly installments and hence every penny need to be utilized properly without wasting any time.
Managing Director, Ravinder Kumar Pandita said that the Corporation is concerned for the economic upliftment of the weaker sections in all the three regions of the State and is making untiring efforts to cover the maximum population of the target group, adding that more cases are in pipeline and will be cleared at the earliest.
