Copper remains weak on sluggish demand

NEW DELHI, Sept 16:  Copper prices eased further by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on muted demand from consuming industries.
Traders said tepid demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot markets, kept copper prices lower.
Other base metals, however, held flat in the absence  of worthwhile activity.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap shed Rs 2 to Rs 356 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 108-114, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 775-785, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 356, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 110, lead imported Rs 116, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148. (PTI)
