Copper remains weak on reduced industrial offtake

NEW DELHI, Feb 6:  Copper remained weak for the second day and prices shed another Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to reduced industrial demand.
However, other base metals moved in a narrow range on little doing and settled around previous levels.
Traders attributed the fall in copper prices to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
In the national capital, Copper mixed scrap fell by Rs 2 to Rs 341 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 90-96, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 818-823, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 341, Chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 74, lead imported Rs 80, aluminium ingots Rs 142, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 138, aluminium wire scrap Rs 138 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 136. (PTI)
