Copper futures weaken 0.14% on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Jan 12: Copper prices fell marginally to Rs 459.60 per kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed positions amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in April declined 65 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 459.60 per kg in a business turnover of 18 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in February contracts shed 40 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 455.75 per kg in 558 lots.
Marketmen attributed the weakness in prices to tepid demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market. (PTI)
