Copper futures up on positive Asian cues

NEW DELHI, Apr 23:  Tracking positive Asian cues and a pick-up in spot demand, copper futures rose marginally by 0.11 per cent to Rs 413.85 per kg today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June rose by 45 paise, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 413.85 per kg, with a turnover of 363 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April was up by ten paise, or 0.02 per cent, at Rs 411.10 per kg, with a trade volume of 2,385 lots.
In Asian trade, copper futures for delivery in July added 0.5 per cent to 46,660 yuan (USD 7,478) a tonne in Shanghai.
Market analysts said besides rising demand in the spot markets, a firming trend in Asian trade led to the rise in copper in futures market. (PTI)
