Copper futures slide 0.09% on low demand

NEW DELHI, Mar 8: Copper prices shed 0.09 per cent to Rs 455.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their exposure amid easing demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June month declined by 40 paise, or 0.09 per cent to Rs 455.10 per kg in business turnover of 11 lots.
In similar fashion, the metal eased by 30 paise, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 451.75 per kg in 1,028 lots.
Analysts said participants trimmed their positions owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical markets. (PTI)
