Copper futures rise on spot demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 4:  Copper futures traded 0.19 per cent higher at Rs 412.70 per kg today as speculators widened positions amid firm trend at the the domestic market on higher demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in far-month November was trading higher by 80 paise, or 0.19 per cent, at Rs 412.70 per kg, in a business turnover of six lots.
Metal for delivery this month also rose by 70 paise, or 0.17 per cent to trade at Rs 406.30 per kg in 1,021 lots.
Analysts said increased demand at the domestic spot markets from consuming industries, influenced the copper futures. (PTI)
