SAMBA, Jan 4: A Police man was killed in a road accident at Bari Brahmana tonight while crossing the National Highway.
He has been identified as Raj Ali, son of Noor Hussain of Kawalsa Samba. Ali was the jawan of SDRF. Police said that Ali was hit by a car while crossing the Highway late tonight resulting in his instant death.
The car was seized by the police while its driver managed to escape taking the advantage of darkness.
The body has been kept in the hospital for postmortem and it will be handed over to family for last rites after conducting autopsy tomorrow.
The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
