Srinagar, Oct 14: A policeman was today arrested after a woman accused him of clicking her pictures in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.
A police official said that a policeman of IRP Battalion was caught by a woman at Manigam Bypass in the district. The woman accused the cop of taking her pictures and tied him with a rope.
People, who were present at the scene, also joined the woman and shouted slogans against the Police department.
Later, the woman lodged a complaint against the accused cop in police station Ganderbal. The cop was subsequently arrested by the police.
Speaking to reporters, SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad said that law will take its own course in the matter. He also confirmed the arrest of the accused cop.
