Cop hands over bag with Rs 90,000 to owner

SRINAGAR, July 9: Police today said an honest policeman has handed over a bag containing Rs 90,000 cash to its owner in Srinagar.
A Police spokesman said that during naka checking at Qamerwari SPO Umar Mushtaq, No.276/SPO found a bag containing Rs 90,000 and subsequently, informed his duty officer who in turn conveyed it to the incharge Police Post Qamerwari.
He said meanwhile one Abdul Aziz Malla, son of Haji Abdul Gaffar Malla, a resident of New Colony Palpora came to Police Post Qamerwari for reporting the loss of bag containing cash.
After proper verification the amount was handed over to him. It is apt to mention here that the person has recently retired from Srinagar Municipal Corporation and this was his pension amount.
