Contractual Lecturers’ hunger strike enters 14th day

JAMMU, Feb 27: As the hunger strike by Contractual Lecturers (10+2) for their regularization, entered into 14th day on Monday, representatives of several trade unions and organizations visited the agitators.
Arun Bakshi, State president of All J&K Contractual Lecturers (10+2) Forum, justified the demand by stating that they are contractual vide Government order no.1584-edu.of 2003 and vide order no.1328 of GAD., which speak of their continuation till further order.
Meanwhile, condition of Vinod Kumar, who is on fast unto death since February 14, continues to deteriorate day by day but there has been no response of the Government towards the demand of Contractual Lecturers
Today Karnail Chand, State president of Kranti Dal Mazdoor Sang; Sardar Kulwant Singh, president of J&K Govt Emplo-yees and Worker Federation; Pawan Kapoor, Sr vice president, Pritam Sharma, State president of Kranti Dal; Subash Chander Sharma, trade union leader, Ishaq Rashid from ReT Teachers Association and others visited the venue of dharna and extended their support to the agitating Contractual Lecturers
All J&K Teacher Association president Ganesh Khajuria alongwith his team also visited the Contractual lecturers and extended all kind of support to them.
