Contractors Association meets ARTO

UDHAMPUR, Feb 28: Members of Jammu Province Contractors Association (JPCA), under the leadership of president Suraj Mahendru, called on ARTO Udhampur Kuldeep Singh at his office and highlighted their issues.
They sought implementation of High Court ruling, according to which no outside registered dumpers can be used within the State for commercial purpose. Even after holding meetings with RTO Jammu, no step has been taken by ARTO Udhampur to act on High Court’s judgement, they rued.
They also alleged that due to negligence of ARTO, locals contractors were suffering the most and are were rendered jobless.
JPCA also met concerned person of Gammon India Pvt Ltd, who is handling Chenani-Nashri and Ramban projects for alleged delay in payments of workers and contractors.  They claimed that only 15-20 percent of the payment was  released.
The deputation comprised of Inderpreet Singh, Kuldeep Sharma,  Rajinder Singh,  Vijay Khajuria, Rakesh Bodhi, Chetan Chopra, Munish Sharma, Vikas Sharma, Kapil Sharma, Randhir Singh, Gian Singh and Swarn Singh.
