Connecting politics with crime is dangerous: Ashok Sharma

JAMMU, Feb 12: Connecting politics with crime by the vested interest was causing alarming degradation and damage to the democratic system, said Ashok Sharma, Coordinator Vichar Vibagh, AICC and former legislator, while expressing serious concern over recent murderous attack by a local political family on workers of another political party in the premises of SDM office in Kalakote.
Ashok Sharma said the Government and public spirited persons must shun greed and adopt path of non-violence as shown by Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. He urged the people of State in general and of Kalakote assembly segment in particular to root out those political workers and politicians belonging to all the political parties who are involved in crime and lust of greed, to ensure good governance and justice to the people.
Sharma sought personal intervention of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Rural Development Minister Abdul Haq to ensure that Ward-Bandi and Creation of New Wards and Panchayats is not done on political considerations.
Prominent among those accompanying Ashok Sharma were Zahis Sarfraz Malik, Sushil Jamwal, Sajjad Mirza, Kashmir Singh, Ashwani Sharma, Ch Abdul Khaliq and R S Sharma.
