Congress was never concerned for development of Jammu: Priya

JAMMU, July 26: Launching a tirade on Congress party for its double standards and putting its vested self interest over the National interest, State BJP spokesperson, former Minister and MLA, Priya Sethi, today said that “what Modi Government did in four years, the Congress was not able to do that in last 65 years of rule”.
Priya Sethi said this while inaugurating the work of ‘laying of tiles’ at Ward No 2, Julaka Mohalla, Jammu, the funds for which were released from her CDF. It was a long pending demand of the public of the area, which she fulfilled today after inaugurating the complete work done.
The BJP spokesperson said that Congress is playing a vote bank politics and want to come in power only but it is only BJP which believes in equitable development for all and nation building. She said that Congress was never concerned for the development of the State particularly of Jammu area otherwise the Jammu would have never been neglected to such an extent.
She further said that within a short span of less than three years that too in coalition Government, a number of development initiatives have been taken up in the Jammu region like Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Cable Car Project, Multi level parking complexes, Artificial Lake, IIT, IIM, etc by the BJP.
Priya said that going by the “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adequate facilities are being provided to people in every village and town of the Country. She said that ultimate aim of development is to ensure that it benefits reach every individual irrespective of cast, creed, religion or region.
She said that Modi Government at Centre has launched a series of welfare schemes for women and weakers sections of the society. “A number of welfare schemes have been launched keeping in view the interests of women, youth and farmers”, she said and called on people to come forward and take benefit of these schemes.
