JAMMU, May 16:   The Thannamandi Congress Committee protested at Thannamandi demanding widening of Mughal road. The protest was led by the PCC, secretary, Shakeel Mir.
The protesters were aghast over the failure of BJP-PDP Government on all fronts. Shakeel Mir in his speech lambasted the Government that the widening of Mughal road is pending since long & GREF is in deep slumber as no action has been taken yet for widening of the road.
Mir also said that Mughal road work should be started from where the actual Mughal road begins & also black-topping of Rajouri to Thannamandi road as the said road is in dilapidated condition.
Mir also projected that there is a dire need of Sub District Hospital at Thannamandi as a large population is dependent on this hospital but unfortunately Government has no interest with Thannamandi due to which the poor public has suffered badly.
Mir also demanded Additional Deputy Commissioner’s post for Thannamandi. He demanded IT College should be opened in Thannamandi as an earliest. Tourist places are lying without any development.
PCC secretary Shakeel Mir threatened the Government if their demands were not considered they will block the Mughal road & Government will be responsible for law & order.
