SAMBA, Jan 19: Congress workers today staged a protest demonstration at Vijaypur against the BJP-PDP Government’s failure on all fronts.
Scores of Congress workers under the leadership of senior Congress leader Arun Sharma, assembled today at Vijaypur and started shouting slogans against the coalition Government. The protestors criticized State BJP leaders for surrendering them in front of PDP for the sake of chair.
“The Government is not performing according to the Agenda of Alliance. The farmers, business community, traders, students are totally fed up with this non-performing Government, which has failed on all fronts whether it is providing basic facilities to the people or paying timely wages to the daily wagers working in various departments of the State or checking price hike of essential commodities”, they said.
They protesting Congress activists condemned the announcement of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to provide compensation to the victims of recent Kashmir unrest. They also flayed BJP Ministers and MLAs/MLCs for acting as mute spectators against CM’s announcement.
