SURAT(GUJARAT), Nov 20: Union Minister and BJP Gujarat Election Co-Incharge, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that Congress Party’s divisive politics has boomeranged in Gujarat and the Congress has been outrightly rebuffed by the people of Gujarat, particularly the Pattidars .
Speaking to mediapersons, after filing of the nomination paper of BJP candidate Kumarbhai Shivabhai Kanani from Varachha, a crucial Assembly Constituency dominated by the Pattidar community, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the manner in which a sea of humanity poured out and over 10,000 people gathered outside the office of the Returning Officer, is itself a testimony to the kind of popular support enjoyed by the BJP in the Pattidar community.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, he had been, for the last two months, saying that the Congress party and its newfound associate Hardik Patel have no alternative roadmap on reservation policy nor do they have any separate agenda for Pattidar community and now, he said, the violent clashes between the Congress workers and members of the Pattidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) witnessed yesterday have vindicated our assessment that the bluff of the misguiding propaganda unleashed by the Congress Party would get exploded very soon.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, the people of Gujarat, including the Pattidar community, are totally convinced that their dreams and aspirations can get justice only under a BJP dispensation guided by Narendra Modi.
Commenting on Rahul Gandhi’s imminent elevation as President of Congress party, Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is a strange phenomenon peculiar to Congress party that each electoral defeat of the party is proportional to the promotion for Rahul Gandhi. After 2014 Lok Sabha election debacle, he said, Rahul Gandhi got elevated from post of General Secretary to Vice President and now after the declaration of Congress party’s defeat in Gujarat poll on 18th December, he is scheduled to take over as President of the party on the very next day, on 19th December.
