Cong projects burning issues of Kathua people

KATHUA, Jan 1: The Congress Party today discussed burning issues of  the people including water and power shortage during monthly meeting held here today.
The meeting at Hiranagar was chaired by former MLC and DCC president Subhash Gupta. The members during meet  discussed the various issues, problems and demands of the public. A  large number of  Panches, Sarpanches and other activists’ participated and raised various issues pertaining to the public of their area.
The representatives during the meeting brought to the notice of Subhash Gupta that public of village Gujjre Chak, Chhan  Tanda, Chak Changa,  Kadala and Gara Kamard is not getting drinking water supply for the last so many days resulting scarcity of drinking water in  these areas. The representatives also raised the issues of shortage of ration supply,  electricity and worst condition of various roads.
Subhash Gupta after listening to the problems of the representatives said that escalating hardships of public and lackadaisical attitude of the Government towards the redressal of the problems had proved that the state coalition as well as the Union Government had turned Nelsons’ eye towards public. “Now the people, who voted for BJP and its associates are feeling depressed,” he added.
Subash Gupta criticizing Union Government responsible for the hardships of people of  border belt. He castigated State Govt for not providing 5-5 Marla of land at safe places, not providing compensation of crop losses, lack of drinking water, unscheduled power cuts, and lack of other basic amenities.
Gupta after discussing the demands with the representatives assured that he would project their demands and problems before the concerned authorities.
Former Sarpanches Vijay Tagotra,  Satpal, Jag Ram, Vaishno,  Om Prakash,  Puran Chand, Sardar Singh, Yugal Kishore Bali, Ram Lal, Ex MC Ram Krishan, Bhushan Sangra, Murari Lal, Anant Ram Dogra and  Ashok Kumar were also present.
