Cong for one time compensation for rehabilitation of migrants

JAMMU, Mar 4: The Congress activists in a meeting here, today have taken the Government to task for delaying the implementation of PM’s employment package for the Kashmiri migrants announced way back in 2008 by then Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh.
The meeting, which was chaired by Hira Lal Pandita, chairman Migrant Cell of PCC said that rising unemployment problem has been a cause of concern of the migrants as the Government has failed to address the same.
Addressing the meeting convener of the Cell, Ghulam Qadir Bhat demanded creation of class fourth posts for those migrant youth who could not afford the higher education due to poverty.
The meeting, while expressing concern over the failure of Government in permanent rehabilitation of the migrants who are in exile now for last 28 years demanded community be given compensation for one time settlement.
The other demands highlighted in the meeting included enhancement of cash relief in view of sky rocketing of prices, posting of doctors and para medical staff at Government Hospital Jagti with adequate supply of medicines so that patients do not face problems due to the shortage of  the same, renovation of quarters and implementation of health insurance policy.
The others who attended the meeting included co convener  of the Cell, Shadi Lal Pandita, , general secretaries, C L Kandi and Kiran Raina, secretaries, Raj Nath Dhar, Chaman Lal Koul, A K Raina, Virender Ganjoo and Ajay Bharti, Raj Kumar and Ramesh Pandita.
