RAJOURI, May 17:  AICC observer and party PRO for Jammu and Kashmir,  Hussain Dalwai, MP Rajya Sabha and president JKPCC  GA Mir  visited border migrant camps at Nowshera today and interacted with them about  their sufferings.
They were accompanied by senior PCC leaders,  Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma, Rajneesh Sharma, Shabir Khan and district president Rajouri Sain Rashid besides AROs  Deepak Rathore and Maqsood Mirza.
Hussain Dalmai expressed shock  over loss of lives and  property of border migrants who have been targeted time and again. He lashed out at Pakistan for resorting to frequent ceasefire violation and targeting civilian population. He regretted that the BJP led NDA Govt has miserably failed to check the Pak designs and to ensure security and safety of border residents of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that certain measures are essential to ensure safety and security of border area people.
PCC president, GA Mir criticized both State and Central Govt for their utter failure to construct bunkers and safe shelters, as promised by Modi Govt during three years of its rule. He said that the border area people are the unarmed soldiers guarding the nation who face the  first bullet of the enemy. He demanded long term policy for the people of border area including construction of concrete bunkers in their areas, besides providing plots and shelters in safer zones, provision of education, medical and other civic facilities at the time of their migration.
Congress leaders assured the people residing in  the camps that they will submit their report to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, vice president Rahul Gandhi for taking up the matter both inside and outside the Parliament at the national level.
Congress leaders also discussed facilities provided in camps and other measures such as children education, compensation for the damage of live stock, besides free ration and monetary help to meet their day today needs.
PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma explained the problems of border migrants  to the visiting  Congress team and also expressed gratitude to Congress high command for deputing AICC and PCC teams to Nowshera.
