RAMGARH, Oct 5: Describing conferring of substantial powers to Panchayat Raj Institutions in the State, Member Legislative Assembly, Chander Prakash Ganga, today said that it would empower people in villages by improving governance at the three tier of Government for rural local bodies.
“Massive participation of people in the urban and rural local body elections will air a clear message across the world that the people of Jammu and Kashmir believe in true democracy and vehemently reject the separatist ideology”, maintained Ganga.
The MLA, while chairing a meeting held to plan out poll strategy for Panchayat elections besides constituting several election committees, said that BJP has geared up at all levels to ensure that the party emerges as the biggest winner in these elections and only the dedicated and honest people are chosen.
Ganga emphasized the BJP workers to introspect and further improve their level of working to further broaden the base of the party in the State. He also asked them to maintain high ethos and uphold the sanctity of the values of the party while contesting any election and tell the people about all the achievements of BJP in the State and the country as well. “Our endeavor is to make ensure that the Panchayats function in an efficient and resourceful manner for rapid growth and development in rural parts of the State”, he added.
He also asked them to seek suggestion of people with vast expertise and experience in the field for better results.
“The chosen PRs should be wise and intelligent enough to effectively run their respective Panchayats towards fast track development”, he asserted.
Ganga, while asking the party workers to gird up their lions and put in sustained efforts for BJP’s victory, exhorted upon them to mobilize and sensitize the workers at booth level which is the base behind strengthening of the party. “The youth would reach every single household of their area to impress upon the local population that the BJP is the only “nationalist party working with the sole aim of serving the society to uplift the status of the last man living in the most difficult terrain of the region”, he added.
