Concern over stopping of work on Rattle Project

KISHTWAR, Aug 28: Expressing grave concern over the closure of work on  Rattle Project by L&T to which the execution of project was allotted by GVK, the youth of Kishtwar have sought immediate intervention of the Government in the matter saying over 500 people have become jobless  by this decision.
In a meeting here, today organized by Kissan Development Board Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Shamsher Singh Bhandari, Member of the Board it said that decision is unfortunate as this way the speedy construction of project will also be delayed and the economy of this hilly belt will also get a setback as 500 youth who were working on this project will become idle completely.
In an appeal to Chief Minister, Mr Bhandari has sought his immediate intervention and urged him to persuade the company to resume work as J&K was already facing lot of shortage of power and delay in construction of the project will further add to the problem. The meeting was attended by Farooq Ahmed Tappal, Tilak Raj Shan and others.
