Concern over charging of exorbitant fee by private doctors

JAMMU, Mar 8: Migrant Cell PCC chairman , H L Pandita has expressed his serious concern over the cheating of patients by some renowned doctors  and demanded a check on the same.
In a statement issued here, today he said that a hapless migrant who approached a reputed doctor for consultation after charging hefty amount as fee, the patient instead of being examined by the senior consultant was referred to a junior doctor evoking strong protest from the patient and his family.
Pandita said that this is the wrong practice and a cheating with the patients who come for the consultation to a senior doctor are being dodged and fleeced by the touts. He also demanded that the Government should fix the rate of fee for the private consultation by doctors.
