RAMBAN, Mar 25: Demanding concession in re-evaluation fee by the Jammu University, a large number of students of Government Degree College Ramban held a strong protest demonstration, here today.
The protesting students marched from the college premises and re-assembled near the National Highway where a strong protest demonstration was held for more than two hours. They also blocked the National Highway and disrupted traffic for some time.
Shouting slogans against the JU authorities for charging hefty fee from the students for  re-evaluation of answer scripts,  the agitating students alleged that maximum students have been failed in the recently declared Part I examination result to force them apply for re-evaluation and thus collect money from them.
They claimed that the conspiracy in this regard can be judged from the outcome of so far declared re-evaluation results, in which maximum students were declared passed.
The protesting students dispersed off after DySp Headquarters  and Tehsildar Ramban personally reached the spot and pacified them to end the demonstration.
