JAMMU, Jan 11: A college student belonging to Leh was killed today in the collision of two vehicles in Bhagwati Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the college student identified as Tsewang Namgyal (24) son of Puntsog Tashi, resident of Leh, who was presently residing at Friends Colony, Talab Tillo, Jammu, received serious injuries today at about 5.30 PM when a scooty on which he was travelling, was hit by a truck near 4th bridge on Tawi River at Bhagwati Nagar.
“The blood-ridden youth was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 6:40 PM”, the official said, adding, a case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and both the vehicles involved in the mishap seized while efforts were on to nab the absconding truck driver.
