SRINAGAR, Feb 2: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president GA Mir  has accused the PDP-BJP coalition of ignoring the genuine needs of the people and ruining the sanctity of the State Legislature.
Addressing party workers at Verinag today, PCC chief blamed the Coalition of betrayal with the people after securing votes from them. He alleged that PDP-BJP Government has ruined the sanctity of the State Legislature with the dramatic end of the Budget session.
Mir alleged that the Coalition Govt has crossed all limits of discrimination with people. It is now evident that coalition is working absolutely against the urges and aspirations of the people for power. “First, they betrayed people on sensitive issues and secured votes now, they are discriminating with people on political basis, which is not only unfortunate, but highly condemnable,” Mir said.
Expressing concern over the problems confronting people in all the three regions, he said both the coalition partners (PDP- BJP) have miserably failed to deliver, as result, the genuine issues of people have remained unaddressed.
Reiterating Congress Party’s commitment, Mir said the party will continue fight against discrimination and  for the resolution of the issues concerning people of the State. The Coalition Govt   has added woes of  people after securing votes from them, but at the same time, he said people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladkah will give a befitting reply to the Coalition Government.
Mir said due to the contradiction in the approach,   the entire State is confronted with difficult situation, even the sanctity of State Legislature was ruined  by BJP -PDP by enabling Adjournment of both the Houses six days before to avoid facing opposition, which is undemocratic, unethical and unconstitutional.
Mir said the performance of the Coalition Govt on ground is zero, for the fact, there was no improvement on the ground. Unemployment has risen considerably, Govt Departments are not functioning in way they should do, as a result, the day today needs of the people remains un-attended and  unaddressed. Even   road connectivity in rural area was not ensured post snowfall. There were many other issue of public interest, he added.
PCC chief emphasized the party cadre to remain connected with the people to know their problems, they are facing. He also urged upon the cadres to remain steadfast to serve the people, for the fact, Congress Party is an instrument of service to the people.
