Coalition Govt running paper horses only: Mir

SRINAGAR, Nov 24: Expressing serious concern over the issues concerning people of Karnah and elsewhere, PCC chief G A Mir today said that Karnah is a neglected part of J&K in every respect as no development works were being taken up by the Coalition Govt, led by PDP.
While addressing a public rally at Tangdhar in Karnah, he alleged that the Coalition Government was neglecting people of Karnah and did not care about the issues concerning people there.
“Coalition Government has confined itself to just issuing press releases only, but the fact remains, nothing is visible on the ground. Tall claims about overall development of the State by the Government led by PDP have proved a futile,” the PCC chief said.
PCC chief said that construction of Sadhan Tunnel, which will connect Karnah with Kupwara, is the urgent requirement of people of Karnah, which could give a respite to the people and can ensure their safety, but the PDP Government was not serious about the Development of Karnah and other remote areas. Rather they are shifting the projects started by previous Government in a well planned manner, on political lines, he said.
Describing Congress party as all weather-friend of the people, PCC chief said that Congress will remain steadfast in serving the people and is committed for equitable development of the people in all the three regions of the State.
On this occasion, PCC chief also cautioned the party cadres against indiscipline and told them that indiscipline at any level won’t be tolerated. “There will be no compromise on any sort of indiscipline,” he warned and urged the party cadres to reach out to people for resolution of the problem confronting general masses.
Among others, who spoke on the occasion, included MLA Haji Ab Rashid Dar, Farooq Andrabi, Surinder Singh Channi, Shoaib Nabi Lone, Farooq Mir, Asgar Ali Khan, Qazi Mehboob Ellahi, Fayaz Ahmad Malik, Shahzada Asim, Mohd Yaseen and Nazir Ahmad Lone.
