Coalition Govt confined to Civil Secretariat: PCC

SRINAGAR, Dec 10: Describing PDP-BJP Govt as complete failure, JKPCC chief G A Mir accused Coalition for failing to address issues confronting people in all the three regions of the State.
Addressing Core Group meeting of the party here today, Mir said Congress Party is committed to resolve the issues confronting people and to fight against discrimination with the people. The party would continue to remain steadfast in serving the people, he said.
Taking stock of the overall socio political situation witnessed due to `misrule’ of PDP BJP Coalition Govt, Congress Core Group expressed deep concern over the multiple issues confronting people in Kashmir Valley and elsewhere in the State. The meeting condemned the attitude of PDP -BJP Coalition for not being serious about the well being of the people.
Describing that Coalition Govt as having failed on all fronts, the meeting castigated State Govt for failing to ensure respite to the people in respect of multiple problems being faced by them arising due to harsh winter in the Valley. PCC Chief said that there is complete chaos prevailing in the State due to the misrule by the Coalition Govt, which has disturbed the socio-political scenario of the State to a great extent.
Expressing concern over the worst condition of electricity and other essential items in the Valley, Mir said that Coalition Govt has confined itself to the Secretariat premises only, for the fact, it is not serious about the issues concerning people.
He said Congress would continue to strive hard for resolution of problems confronting people. Reiterating Congress Party’s resolve to serve the people to the best of its ability, PCC chief urged the party cadre to reach out to the people and get to know the public issues he said.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included former Minister Taj Mohi- ud-Din, Haji Abdul Rashid, GN Monga, Mohd Anwar Bhat, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Usman Majeed, Surinder Singh, Hilal Ahmad Shah, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Shoiab Nabi Lone and Shameema Iqbal.
