One has to appreciate Chief Minister’s fairness in ably marshalling her arguments to disarm the opposition with facts and figures. It is for the first time that a chief minister has called the spade by its proper name. The opposition has to realize that it failed to perform the right role it was expected to perform during the period of turmoil. Opposition has to be creative.
The CM has ordered SITs for each district to report on the entire gamut of strikes, and violence that came in trail. This is a healthy step. We would like to submit to the CM to order similar SITs in each district of the valley to report on the killing and forcible extirpation of the Pandit minority of Kashmir and the loot and arson let loose on their property after their departure. This inquiry will go a long way in reinstalling hope and trust of the victimized community.
