On CM’s direction, team constituted to take necessary remedial measures

KISHTWAR, Dec 12: On the directions of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana constituted a team of doctors to take necessary remedial measures to control the hepatitis epidemic in Warwan area.
As per official spokesman, in the public grievances redressal camp held at Kishtwar last week the deputation of Warwan brought into the notice of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti that some hepatitis epidemic has broken out in some areas of Warwan thereby causing some deaths.
Accordingly, on the spot directions were given by CM Mehbooba Mufti to constitute a team of doctors who will take necessary steps in controlling the disease.
In compliance to the direction of Chief Minister, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar,  Angrez Singh Rana today constituted a committee comprising of Dr JP Singh, State Epidemiologist, DHS Jammu, Dr VK Pandita, Physician Specialist CMO Office Kishtwar, Dr Arif, MD Medicines, Medical Officer Kishtwar and Ashwani Kumar, Laboratory Assistant DH Kishtwar.
“The medical team so constitutes will visit the affected areas within two days and take all necessary remedial measures in controlling the epidemics in the affected areas so that precious human lives be saved”, the DC Kishtwar order reads. The committee will submit the detailed report to the Directorate of Heath Services Jammu with a copy to DC office as well so that strategic policy be framed in order to avoid such epidemics in future, it reads.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has again shown the deep concern of the situation and twitted “I am concerned over the reports of prevalence of hepatitis in some areas of Warwan in Kishtwar district and have directed a team of doctors to visit the affected area”.
