Srinagar, May 18: Chief Minister’s Secretariat today while taking cognizance of a Daily Excelsior report on illegal construction of brick kilns has directed the Regional Director of Pollution Control Board to take strict action against the offenders.
An order vide number PS/ PO/ HCM/ GGC/ 1401/017 issued here said: “This is in reference to the news report published in Daily Excelsior on May 15, 2017, regarding the issue of the raising of illegal brick kilns in Central Kashmir’s Chadoora area.”
“The news report has quoted district administration officials that after the end of Srinagar by-polls several illegal brick kilns have come up at Nowbagh and Barigung villages in the area.” It adds: “I am directed to request you to kindly look into the matter and take strict actions against the offenders under rules.”
