CM, DyCM, Omar condemn killing of BSF jawan

SRINAGAR, Sept 28: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has condemned the killing of off-duty Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, Rameez Ahmad Parray at his home in Hajin area of Bandipora district late last night.
The Chief Minister said that it is unfortunate that he was killed when he had come home to join his family in his off time. She said it is regrettable that the unending cycle of violence in the State is taking a heavy toll of our society, particularly the young and appealed all segments of society to join in putting an end to it.
Mehbooba Mufti has conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family and also wished the family members a speedy recovery who were injured in the shooting.
Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh has also condemned the killing and said that the heinous crime has been committed by the forces inimical to peace in the State and they want to push the State into the vortex of chaos and violence, which should be condemned by every section of the society. He said that it is equally sad to know that the Jawan was killed when he had come to join his family   in the valley and was killed in cold blood.
Dr Singh while conveying sympathies with the bereaved family maintained that the sacrifices rendered by our Jawans would not go a waste and would be recorded in history as commendable.
National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah has also condemned in the strongest of words the brutal killing of a BSF man.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Omar Abdullah said such incidents need to be condemned unequivocally and have no place in a civilized society which has struggled hard to overcome a period of turmoil and suffering. “I pray for peace to the departed soul and express my solidarity with the family of the deceased paramilitary man,” Omar Abdullah said.
