JAMMU, Jan 31: Clerical Staff Association members today called on the Education Minister Mohd Altaf Bukhari and discussed the issues including DPC of all cadre, removal of pay anomalies and creation of posts of ministerial staff.
The representatives of School Education Non-Teaching Employees Forum under the leadership of Jammu Kashmir Ladakh All Departmental Clerical Staff Association (JKLADCSA) headed by Ali Mohd Mir president JKLADCSA , Jeelani Naik general secretary and Jagdish Thakur vice president School Education Non-Teaching Employees Forum Jammu/ District president district Pulwama (SENTEF) met the Education Minister in his office chamber and put forward various burning issues related to Non-Teaching cadre of School Education Department including the issue of DPC which has not been conducted for years together both in Directorate of Kashmir & Jammu, leaving the clerical cadre under mental distress and requested for convening DPC within shortest possible time to provide the relief, the issue of creation of clerical cadre posts in 44 hanging zones/ newly established CEO Offices/ Joint Director offices was also discussed in detail as stagnation is being faced by the clerical staff.
The leadership invited the attention of the Minister towards the core issue, which affects badly on the quality/normative of education system in the State that is the teaching staff of the department has been entrusted clerical jobs and almost all offices in the State are witnessed this practice, prime example is Zonel Education Office Gool, where a senior Assistant is without any charge, but there is one master namely Khursheed Wani, who has been assigned the charge of SSA since 2011, accordingly despite the clerical staff is posted in HSS Gool, but without any charge, as the same has been entrusted to Teaching staff. Minister listened carefully and assured to take appropriate steps in this regard.
