Cleft lip correction surgeries to commence at SSH Kakryal soon

JAMMU, Mar 14:  33rd meeting of the Governing Body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal was held here under the chairmanship of Dr. S. S. Bloeria, Member of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Chairman of the Governing Body.
Reviewing functioning of the Hospital, the Governing Body took note of the progressive increase in the number of patients availing diagnostic and treatment facilities at this 230-bed tertiary medical care Hospital, requiring more doctors, augmenting infrastructure and equipments to meet emerging and future requirements. In this context, the meeting discussed the plans for putting in place additional accommodation, other logistics and equipments, wherever required, as part of supporting infrastructure.
Dr. Bloeria asked for bringing a detailed plan in this regard before the next meeting of the Governing Body for discussion. He said that the plan in regard to additional requirements should be first discussed in the FAC meeting and thereafter deliberated in the Governing Body before being placed to the Board for consideration.
The meeting was informed that the Superspeciality Hospital Kakryal has provided subsidised treatment to the patients which has cost the hospital Rs. 4.50 crore upto January this year since its operationalization. Out of this amount, the discount of about Rs. 1.50 crore has been provided in the shape of free OPD and free registration of patients. Besides, the Shrine Board has extended financial assistance to the poor and needy patients under its Arogya Yojna amounting to Rs. 28.90 lakh and free treatment to the pilgrims amounting to Rs. 37.88 lakh during this period. The Governing Body also decided providing 10% discount for dialysis to certain categories of patients.

Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development, who is also Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Hospital; and  Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; both members of the Governing Body; Dr. M. K. Kumar, Additional CEO;  Hem Kant Prasher, Chief Accounts Officer; Dr. (Brig retd) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer, SMVDNSH; and other concerned officers from the Shrine Board side participated in the meeting.
Those who took part in the Governing Body meeting deliberations on behalf of NVDSHPL/NH included Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, MD and Group CEO NH and member of the Governing Body of the Hospital; Sunil Kumar CN, Zonal Director, NH and acting CEO, SMVDNSH and  Manu Ramachandar, Facility Director, Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal.
The Governing Body reviewed the pace of work on the construction of additional block of nurses’ hostel. The CEO of the Shrine Board informed that the under construction hostel block will be ready well before August 2017.
