UDHAMPUR, Mar 6: A class 8th student committed suicide by hanging himself from a near his house at village Suman in Pancheri block of Udhampur.
The deceased has been identified as 15-year old Mukhtiyar Singh, son of Charan Singh. He was found hanging from a tree by the villagers, who informed Police and the family members.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered the case for further investigation.
Meanwhile, two persons sustained serious injuries, when a tractor on which they were traveling, rolled down into a gorge near Katra.
The injured were rushed to local hospital where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of grevious injuries. They were identified as Sukhdev (65), son of Nanak Chand of Naleya Katra and Shoukat Ali (35), son of Mohd Ayub of Mahore.
