SRINAGAR, Jan 7: Students of the government schools have again come out with flying colors in Higher Secondary Part-II (12th class) examinations in Kashmir division bagging top positions in Science, Home Science and Arts Streams.
Displaying extraordinary performance in Arts stream, the students of government-run educational institutions have walked away with first 5 positions scoring between 98.6% and 98% marks.
Hadia Noor of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh has topped the merit list in Arts with 493 out of 500, Tanzeela Hassan of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh has scored 492/500, Towseef Shafi of Government Higher Secondary School, Srigufwara, Anantnag has scored 491/500, Zaira Shafi of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh has scored 491/500 and Irtiza Jan of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Amira Kadal has scored 490/500.
In Home Science Stream, the students of government-run schools have bagged all the first 10 positions scoring between 91.2% and 81.2%. Fariah Farooq of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh has topped the merit list scoring 456/500 in Home Science stream. She is followed by Ishrat Jan of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pulwama with 451/500, Bisma Jan of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pulwama with 446/500, Iqra Yousuf of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh with 445/500, Irtiza Fatima of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothbagh with 436/500, Lubna Bashir of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh with 432/500, Masooma Shabir of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh with 424/500, Munaza Ali of of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh with 419/500, Sabreena Akhtar of of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh with 407/500, Tabia Rashid of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Anantnag with 407/500 and Insha Shakeel of of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh with 406/500.
In Science stream as well, the students of government-run schools 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th rank scoring between 98.6% and 98% marks. In science stream Wafeeqa Qazi of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Amira Kadal has scored 493/500, Yusra Shabir of Government Higher Secondary School, Kanir, Chadoora has scored 491/500, Iqra Khan of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh has scored 490/500, Sana Sangeen of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Soura has scored 490/500 and Mehraj-ud-Din Shah of Government Higher Secondary School, Drugmulla, Kupwara has scored 488/500.
In Commerce stream, students of government-run schools have bagged the 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th rank scoring between 97.6% and 96.2% marks.
In commerce stream Bisma Jan of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Zadibal has scored 488/500, Alia Ali of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Anantnag has scored 486/500, Sheikh Faizan Farooq of SP Higher Secondary School, MA Road, Srinagar has scored 482/500 and Abeena Zahoor of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Nawakadal has scored 481/500.
The overall pass percentage of 12th class this year according to JKBOSE is 52% with 69969 students having appeared in the examinations.
