Civil defence organises Inter College Symposium

UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: Under the leadership of L.K Mohanty Addl. Director General of Police  Home Guards/Civil Defence /SDRF J&K Jammu under the  direct supervision of Basant Rath Dy. Insp. General of Police Jammu , Civil defence Unit Udhampur organised  Inter college  Symposium  on “Disaster Management”  at Shivalik College of Education  Udhampur.
On this occasion Shalindra Mishra Sr. Supdt. of Police Udhampur was  the Chief Guest on opening ceremony  while  Varinder  Sharma Dy. Insp. General of Police Udhampur /Reasi Range  Udhampur was   the  chief guest on concluding ceremony  of the symposium. Sudershan Mehta Dy.SP Area Commandant Home Guards Cum I/C Dy.Controller Civil Defence Udhampur presented the buquets and Welcomed the Chief Guests of said programme.  Both the above officer shared their  experience on Disaster Management with the participants.
The function proceeded under the Judgement of Sham Saroop Kalsotra  Prominent Citizen of Udhampur, Bhushan Sethi  Retd. Zonal Sports officer Distt. Youth Services & Sports Deptt. Udhampur, Surinder Kumar Advocate Chief Warden Civil Defence Udhampur  and under the Anchorship of Swatantra Dev Kotwal Dy.Chief Warden Civil Defence Udhampur.
On this occasion   Manish  Gulati Principal  Happy Modal School and Smt. Sunita Koul Principal Shivalik College of Education    Udhampur  Ved Parkash Kashyap (Pummy) Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence participated in the programme.
On the occasion of concluding ceremony Varinder Sharma IPS Dy. Inspr. General og Police Udhampur /Reasi Range Udhampur  distributed the prizes to the winners i.e
1st. Prize to Miss  Shivi Badyal of Govt. Degree College Udhampur, Miss Parul Oberoi of  Govt. College for women 2nd prize,  Miss Ankita Sharma   of  Shivalik College of Education  3rd prize  while  4th. Prize gone to Mr Kashish Mahajan of Govt. Degree college Udhampur.
The organizer of Programme  Sudershan Mehta Dy.SP Area Commander Home Guards cum Incharge Dy. Controller Civil Defence  Udhampur  addressed the  participants regarding Aims and Objects of  Civil Defence/ Disaster Management and to serve the nation  voluntary basis   urged upon the youths to Join the Civil Defence. He also   extended the vote of thanks to  all the participants.
