Chuni submits memo to MLAs on resolution over PoK

JAMMU, Jan 28: SOS International, an organization for PoK Displaced Persons (DPs) today submitted a memorandum to Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and all the political parties of Jammu and Kashmir for bringing and passing resolution to vacate (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) PoK and resettle PoK DPs at their ancestral places with dignity and honour.
The delegation of DPs led by Rajiv Chuni, chairman of the body handed over memorandum to Speaker Kavinder Gupta and political parties and urged them to pass resolution in the ongoing Assembly Session.    The memorandum for vacating PoK and restoring PoK to DPs was submitted to Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti. Dr MK Dhar received the memorandum.
Other leaders who received memorandum on behalf of their parties included GA  Mir, PCC president; MLA Devender Singh Rana for National Conference, MLA Sat Sharma BJP, Sajjad Lone People’s Conference, MLA Mohd Yousuf Tarigami CPI, MLA Hakeem Yaseen, MLA Pawan Gupta and MLA Engineer Rasheed.
Rajiv Chuni urged upon all the Legislators to pass the resolution in order to end seven decades long issue of PoK DPs. Legislators assured  to take the things in consideration for further course of action.
It further states that PoK DPs are permanent residents of J&K State and have been living in inhumane conditions and they want to be restored back to their ancestral places.
