Chris Brown slams claims he trashed rental home

LOS ANGELES, July 3:  Singer Chris Brown has hit back at claims he trashed a property he rented while in Ibiza.

The landlord alleged that the 27-year-old singer owed USD 26,000 in rent and USD 60,000 in damages after leaving the property with knife marks on the walls and vomit everywhere.

But Brown posted videos on Instagram which he claimed were taken just before he left and show the house in good condition.

“This is exactly why I recorded all these videos in the house. And this was probably 10 minutes before we left to go to the airport. They called the police; they did all kind of things without even being in the house. Allocated all of these different damages that are non-existent,” he said.

“It’s easy for them to believe it. Let’s put Chris Brown’s name in it, so people can automatically assume because I don’t have the benefit of the doubt.

“…It’s unnecessary. I don’t conduct myself like that. We turn up, we have fun; we’re not no animals, bro.”

Brown rented the house during the last week of June and TMZ reported that police had been called to the property after he refused to leave.

According to a police report obtained by the website, there were knife marks in the walls, urine in the bed and vomit everywhere.

However, Brown then posted his video – which he claims he recorded because the landlord became aggressive toward him – in order to prove his innocence. (PTI)
