China disappoints India

Sir,
This has reference to the news item ‘China blocks bid to list Azhar as global terrorist’ DE March 14, 2019.
China, the all weather friend of Pakistan has once again proved to be a villain of the piece when it refused to back a proposal to designate Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist in the Security Council. Whatever may be China’s intentions behind the move, one thing is clear that China too indirectly supports terrorism sponsored by Pakistan.China’s decision will not only impact Indo-China relations in coming days but it has given a new lease of life to terrorists who were at receiving end after Balakote bombardment by Indian planes sometime back. China as a permanent member of United Nations is misusing its Veto power for its own interests, and not for promoting peace in the world. The world community should take note of this development seriously and stop trading with China over this selfish attitude.

Sir,
China had kept everybody guessing over its support to ban Masood Azhar as a globel terrorist in the UN Security Council. And this suggested in the very beginning that China is no mood to support the ban proposal. Therefore, people and concerned stakeholders did not get surprised over China’s role while exercising its veto power in the security council.
India has expressed its disappointment by saying that India will continue to pursue all available avenues to ensure that leaders of terror groups involved in heinous attacks on Indian citizens are brought to justice. There is definitely no course left for India than to pursue this matter without the support of other countries as does Israel. India should first of all purge all anti-nationals from the country, and then fight enemies outside the country. It is India’s better, and no one is going to fight for India. The country has to put its act together to tackle the menace of terrorism in the country.
