JAMMU, June 24: On the concluding day of the 20-day Children’s Summer Workshop organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in Abhinav Theatre, Painting and Dance, a Dance performance “Sapno Ki Manzil” Ballet was presented by the participating children.
This dance performance was designed, conceived and Choreographed by Akash Dogra, professionally trained choreographer and artist having the vast experience of organizing Children Workshops and was assisted by Sonali Pandita, young artist and dancer Bishan Das, senior artist, singer and music composer who is also Assistant Cultural Officer was the supervisor of the said Summer
The dance and musical performance was conceived with a message to the youngsters about the sense of brotherhood, unity and diversity and passion for the local and folk performing art.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages informed that in Children’s Summer Workshop the experts from the field of Dance, Painting and Music were engaged so that the best of the youngsters could be portrayed.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Ravi Kant, Senior anchor, while the vote of thanks was presented by journalist Popinder Singh.
