Child killed, 8 injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR, July 22: A child died while as eight others were injured in separate road accidents in Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a Tata 407 passenger vehicle bearing registration number JK01C/3397 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01J/4548 near P. C Depot Crossing Qamerwari, resulting in death of four years old Suhail Ahmad and injuries to seven years old Furkan Ahmad sons of Gulzar Ahmad Gashroo resident of Arampora Qamerwari. The body was handed over to his next of kin for last rites while as the injured was hospitalized.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK07-0755 collided with a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK05-2735 at Charsoo Awantipora, resulting in injuries to four passengers. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01D-9796 on way from Srinagar to Anantnag collided with a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01C/8242 near Halmullah, Bijbehara, resulting in injuries to three persons boarding the Maruti van. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
